First Vector Animation

Image
First Vector Animation - using WICKEDITOR.com.  It shows a bouncing ball with keyframes that are interpolated using TWEENS. This is my bouncing ball animation.  The arc represents the path that the bouncing ball needed to follow in the final animation.  There is also squash and stretch to imply that the ball is made from a rubbery material. This is the final bouncing ball, without the arc.

(1) Instructions: PART 1: Design 20 Silhouettes by combining circles, squares, and triangles into compound shapes.  Start with primary body forms, then add secondary shapes (ears, noses, hair style contours).  Then add tertiary details to further differentiate each silhouette as a unique individual.   Submit via email for credit. My Work: Reflection/Caption: I liked these 20 silhouettes that I created the most, because they resemble work at an actual animation studio.  Mr. Webb showed us several silhouettes of famous cartoon characters, and you identify all of them even without seeing their faces. (2) Instructions: This assignment asks students to draw over 3D renders, adding a face, including eyes, eyebrows, and a mouth for a blank rendered character, using Krita. My Work: Reflection/Caption: The part that I liked most about this assignment, was how a 3D character could look more life-like and interesting, with drawings over each render. This is Mr. Webb's example for the assignment. (1) CHARACTER DESIGN PROJECT INSTRUCTIONS PART 1: Design 20 Silhouettes by combining circles, squares, and triangles into compound shapes.  Start with primary body forms, then add secondary shapes (ears, noses, hair style contours).  Then add tertiary details to further differentiate each silhouette as a unique individual.   Submit via email for credit. This assignment requires you to draw 20 silhouettes in a class period, using only squares, circles, and triangles, to represent the filled-outline of potential cartoon characters.  These are my favorites that I made. This blog portfolio is intended to show my 10 best assignments produced in ANIMATION 1 this FALL 2019.  My instructor was Mr. Webb, and we focused on learning 2D Animation. (1) DRAW OVER - 3D MODEL, with a face, axe, and trees added to a run cycle animation. This project was important to me because I learned to mix photos with drawings.
